Blue and White Winter Woolies Day

A big thank you to all our Year 6 students and their parents/caregivers for their delicious contributions towards our very successful fundraiser today. Together we raised approximately $1159.20 with all the money going to the Badhure School in Nepal. Congratulations go to Claudia John and her Community Care Committee for all their effort in organising the day.

Lunch Order Process

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Just a reminder about the lunch order procedure. The Tuck Shop have found that money is going missing from orders when a  sealed plastic bag isn’t used to store the money. They have requested these to be used in the future.

Thanks in advance and have a lovely weekend.

Kindest regards

Heather, Jill & Kieran.

Fabulous Fantastic Fundraiser

Congratulations to Claudia John and her Community Care Committee for organising such a successful fundraiser. A special thank you to all the Year Six girls and their parents for baking or buying goodies to sell. Together we raised approximately $1090.00. All the money raised will go to the Bhadure School in Nepal.

Touch typing begins week 7

We have had an amazing response to our Touch Typing session and we are pleased to announce that due to the enthusiasm from our girls we will be offering both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Sessions will begin at 7:45am and finish at 8:10am. Please note that this time is only for Touch Typing where we expect our girls to independently and quietly work on their typing skills only. We will trial this for the rest of the term and review it again for Term 2.

Session will start next week on Tuesday 14 March at 7:45am.

We can’t wait to get typing!

how to make quality comments

We have been learning about what makes a quality comment and how to write them, in preparation for the Student Blog Challenge. The girls have left a comment about what they have learned. Let’s see how effective their comments are and if they are putting what they have learned into practice.

Practising our typing skills

With an increasing use of technology in our classrooms and the one to one laptops in Year 6, we would like to offer the girls an opportunity to develop good typing habits.

BBC offers a fun way to learn touch typing and develop speed and accuracy through playing games.

We would like to offer a 25-minute session each week in the Year 6 classrooms, for the girls to practise their typing.

Please indicate your interest in your daughter attending a BBC Dance Mat Typing session in the Year 6 classrooms, by replying to this post by Wednesday, Week 6.

The lesson will begin at 7.45am and finish at 8.10am.

Please indicate your preference for either a Tuesday or Wednesday morning and please note that whichever morning receives the most interest will be chosen.

You can visit the link below to see the program called Dance Mat Typing.
